The quality of a research peptide is only as good as the supplier behind it, and the market varies enormously. Because you often can't judge a peptide by eye, the credibility signals around it matter just as much as the vial itself. Here's what actually distinguishes a serious supplier.
Independent Third-Party Testing
The most important signal is whether products are tested by an independent laboratory rather than only by the seller. Third-party HPLC and mass spectrometry testing means an outside party has verified both purity and identity. A supplier confident in their material will make this testing available rather than simply asserting a purity figure.
Batch-Specific Certificates of Analysis
A Certificate of Analysis should be specific to the batch you receive — with a matching lot number, a visible chromatogram, and mass spec data — not a generic document reused across every order.
